raw steel and brass shelves

Before we sent this set of our raw steel and brass shelves off to their new home in Japan, we took the opportunity to photograph them filled with some of our favourite objects - pieces made by us and ceramics by some of our favourite ceramicists.

featured on the shelves:

black beaker by Kaori Tatebayashi | sake cup by Nic Harrison | rusted steel vessels and burnt oak plates by pachadesign | black cup by Jono Smart | tea-pot, pourer and lidded vessel by Derek Wilson

our steel shelves can be made to order at bespoke sizes with either brass or raw steel supports - contact us for prices here

our oak & steel benches for Canary Wharf

At the beginning of the year we were commissioned to make 15 of our steel and oak benches for Canary Wharf in London.

The benches have been placed around the wharf in various places for public seating.

raw steel & english walnut console

We designed this one-off console based on a beautiful piece of English walnut that we had sourced years ago and had been saving for the right project.

We kept as much of the natural shape of the walnut board as possible and balanced this with the solid straight edged raw steel base.  The off-set steel fronted drawer is solid walnut inside.

See more of our furniture collection here.

steel & oak media unit

We recently custom made one of our steel & oak media units for our lovely friends at Down Barton holiday let in Welcombe.

It works perfectly in the open plan living/kitchen space where we also designed and made the large kitchen for the house.

We designed this piece to be used either as a media unit or simply as a long low sideboard, using raw steel that wraps around a long oak drawer.

This piece can be made to order at bespoke sizes - more details here

jono smart & emily stephen

we've been using burnt oak in our work for quite some time now - from our boards and sculptural platters to furniture, to a recent huge interior project.

we love the charred matt black look and the stunning texture that is created when burning oak.

and it works so well with ceramics - especially the beautiful ceramics made by Jono Smart.

we've been making plinths in burnt oak and ash for Jono for a few years now and have just made some new pieces in time for his latest online shop opening tonight.

Jono and his partner Emily commissioned plinths and trays to their design, for his work and also for Emily's new work - beautifully delicate wood-turned bowls.

Jono and Emily's online shop opens tonight {Friday 7th Dec} at 7pm.
